Crumb coat the cakes and using Spatula Only
you will get it done in perfect result.
Chill the cake if you have to make the crumb coat firmer.
There are 2 ways to choose in Frosting Cakes.
1. Using Spatula Only,
if you don't have lots of cakes to frost.
2. Using quick icer tip. This technique used whenever you have lots of cakes to frost. So... you can choose
either way, but at the end, everything will be the same technique. "Happy Frosting..."
Using The Cake Icer Tip:
Level the cake, get rid of any edges that hanging over the cake. Crumb coat the cake using small amount of icing.
At this stage, you can chill the cake if you need to.
1. Hold the bag at 45º angled, lightly squeeze a ribbon of frosting around the bottom side of the cake slowly
as you turn the table slowly.

2. Repeat the same process on top of the first ribbon frosting.
3. Place medium amount of frosting on the center top cake, spread accross,
move the icing knife to your right and turn the table to your left.

4. There are 2 choice in here. Using smoother or using comb. If the cake is for wedding, smoother will be the best
choice. If the cake need nuts or for kids decorations or you just don't have the confident yet in frosting the cake,
then you need the comb.
A. Now take your smoother, straight up, put your left hand on the turn table and start turning slowly and
don't stop too sudden. The trick is to stop slowly and take your smoother away as you stop.
B. Do the same technique as the smoother. Hold the comb straight up or you can hold the comb up side down
as you turn the table to create different looks.

5. Now take the longer spatula, push the spatula away from you and turn the table as you go until you get
smooth top. Clean the board and start decorating .
